How Cite handles local projects, DOI and ISBN lookups, advertising, and consent settings.

Local processing

Manually entered sources, imported records, annotations, notes, and the finished bibliography are processed in the browser. They are not sent to a Podziel.pl application server.

Project storage

IndexedDB is used only after you explicitly choose “Save locally.” localStorage stores theme, language, consent, and network-footer cache preferences.

External lookup

A DOI lookup may contact Crossref or DataCite and sends only the DOI. An ISBN lookup sends only the ISBN to Open Library. Notes and the full project are not included.

Advertising

Google AdSense and Google CMP may process data according to your consent choices. Bibliographic values, DOI, ISBN, titles, and author names are not sent by project analytics.

Deleting data

Saved projects can be deleted in the application. Site data can also be removed through browser settings.
